DWG object signatures with CADstudio DWGOsign

CADstudio DWGOsign is a new shareware tool for AutoCAD users. This reactor automatically "signs" all newly drawn and edited drawing objects with the author's name (operator) and a time stamp.

Thanks to this tool you can now track who and when (or at what computer) has edited each AutoCAD entity. So you monitor work of individual users or time sequence of edits in the particular drawing. The functionality is completely transparent to the user, it does not change the standard behavior of AutoCAD. Additional signature information makes your DWG drawing file about 1% larger. For each entity you can then display the date and username of the last edit (or also other information), and optionally report the data to Excel. You can also select drawing objects created or modified by a specific user. It also maintains a historical overview of all editing sessions in the DWG drawing.
